Matt Hornbach (PhD, 2004)
Matt came to UW with a B.S. degree in physics from Hamilton College. At UW he worked on the seismic structure of gas hydrate deposits on the Blake Ridge, including acquiring and processing a 3D reflection data set. Matt is currently an Associate Professor at Southern Methodist University. Here he is with the DSV Alvin, aboard R/V Atlantis in 2003, after having gone to the seafloor at the Cape Fear Diapir, offshore South Carolina.
