Donna came to UW with a double degree in geology and journalism from the University of Georgia.  At UW she worked on the deep structure of the Aleutian island arc and the Newfoundland Basin rifted margin.  Donna is current a Doherty Associate Research Scientist at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (Columbia University).  Here she is shown with the drill ship JOIDES Resolution, just before sailing on ODP Leg 210, which provided data for her PhD thesis.
