L. Cody Helfrich (MS, 2008)
Cody came to UW with a B.S. in geology from the University of Arizona. At UW he worked on seismic oceanography, developing a method to suppress wavenumber-domain noise from reflector spectra. Here he is deploying seismometers in 2005 on the rim of Poas volcano in Costa Rica. Cody is currently a geophysicist with BritishPetroleum in Anchorage, Alaska.
