Harm van Avendonk (UW 1998-2002)
Harm, seen here aboard the R/V Ewing in 2000 on our Newfoundland Basin cruise, came to UW with a Ph.D. from Scripps Institution of Oceanography. At UW he worked on the deep structure of the South Island, New Zealand, and the Newfoundland Basin rifted margin. He is currently a Research Associate at the University of Texas Institute for Geophysics.
