The oil barge
When we sailed from St. John's, Newfoundland, we didn't have enough streamer oil, thanks to an irresponsible truck driver (and we knew we'd need a lot, due to the cold water off Greenland). Mike Rawson of Lamont managed to find some streamer oil in Iceland and have it flown to the tiny town of Kulusuk, Greenland, where we picked it up. First Mate Lou Mello and Second Mate William Smith used the rescue boat as a barge tug to bring the oil over to the anchored Ewing.
